Ladies & gents-
It's about time that something is done. The media is portraying firearms in the worst light possible. As a woman, I am fully aware that bad lighting can ruin the entire effect of something that would otherwise be beautiful. The hard thing is.... you can't have a legitimate discussion and debate with something who knows nothing about firearms. It's like you're going in circles the entire time. My experience this past week when someone decided to ask me, "Why is there even a need for guns?" was utterly ridiculous. Wow. Really?
Let's just look at a few...
-home defense. I don't think a spatula would have the same effect on a person that is trying to harm me and my family. No one touches my family.
-military defense. You really want to think about what would happen to our men and women over there if they only have their camo on?
-personal defense out in the community. I am one of the biggest advocates of CCW permits. Someone with one just might save your life when you don't have one. Not to mention the chance of prevention of sexual assault and abduction.
With gun ownership comes with a huge responsibility. Proper handling and storage can not be stressed enough.
The U.S. was built on a beautiful foundation and it is now being shaken and torn down. Personally, I'm not going down without a fight.
One last thing...
if you're here to later e-mail me to start a debate, you better do some research first before I tear you apart. Some people are making it too easy. For example, AR does NOT mean "assault rifle". The AR-15 was named after the original manufacturer, Armalite. If you can't even grasp the foundational concept, nothing else will go your way. Thank you and have a nice day.
Happy shooting supporters!
